If you want to book our translation service, please pay and book it at least 2 weeks before the application deadline for submission of all documents;
If you want to book our guardian service, you need to pay and book it 2 months before the application deadline, just in case your application fails because of failed to submit application documents on time.

*1. Non-criminal record report

Applicants shall submit a valid certificate of Non-Criminal Record issued by the local public security authority, usually issued within 6 months prior to the submission date of the application.

*2. Financial statement or bank statement

The available balance should be no less than 40, 000RMB (The minimum amount of financial proof for full scholarship applicants may be appropriately lowered).

*3. Study plan or research proposal

No less than 1000 words, stating your basic personal information, hobbies and expertise, study motivation, past academic background and a study plan or research proposal in Chongqing University.

*4. Foreigner Physical Examination Form

Within a valid period of six months. The form shall be filled by the physician in Chinese or English. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the form with a suggestion filled by the doctor. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Attachments of examination results (Laboratory exam report, Electrocardiograph and Chest X-ray report) shall also be uploaded. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months. Applicants in China can take the physical examination at the international travel health care center.

*5. Curriculum vitae

The applicants shall submit curriculum vitae introducing your personal information, education background, work experience, research work, publications, honors, and other information, which could facilitate your application.

7. Other supporting documents such as publications, awards, certificate of employment/internship, etc. (if available).

For Arts programs, applicants must have related academic background and are required to submit the portfolio (such as paintings, story scripts, short movies, etc.).

The passport must remain valid until after September 2025. For applicants who are already in China, a photocopy of Visa or Residence Permit with entry customs stamps should be provided as well.

Transcript in languages other than Chinese or English should be translated into Chinese or English and be certified by notarization.

*12. Notarized Highest Degree Certificate

Applicants shall submit Master’s graduation certificate and degree diploma. Prospective diploma recipients shall submit a certificate of expected graduation issued by the university that will issue the diploma, and bring the official degree diploma for registration if admitted.

*13. Two academic recommendation letters

In English or Chinese from professors or associate professors introducing the applicant’s academic/research background, comprehensive abilities and evaluation of future growth etc. The referee’s signature and contact information (academic title, email address or phone number) are necessary, and the date of issue should not be earlier than September, 2024.

*14. Study or Work certificate

For applicants who are currently studying or working in an institution, a Certificate of Enrollment or Employment issued by the institution is required.

Tips:
For applicants who are in China: If you are an employee, you still need to provide employment separation certificate and your current residence permit. If you are a student, you need to provide transfer certificate, leaving certificate, certificate of attendance rate issued by previous school and your current residence permit.
